“2013 China International Paper Technology Exhibition and Conference (CIPTE)”, jointly organized by China Paper Association, China Technical Association of Paper Industry and China National Pulp & Paper Research Institute, and operated by China Pulp and Paper Magazines Publisher of China National Pulp & Paper Research Institute was held successfully in National Agriculture Exhibition Center (New Hall) Beijing on September 23-25, 2013. Based on the commitment of organizing Asia's largest, professional international paper exhibition, there were more than 200 exhibitors from nearly 20 countries and areas participating the exhibition. The exhibition area occupied 13,000 m2.  More than 3,000 professional visitors visited the exhibition, the effective audience increased compared with that of previous exhibitions.

    The opening ceremony of 2013 CIPTE was held on 23 September. Industry leaders attended the exhibition opening ceremony included Mr. Bu Zhengfa, president of China National Light Industry Council; Mr. Qian Guijing, president of China Paper Association; Mr. Chen Xuezhong, president of China Technical Association of Paper Industry; Mr. Chen Esheng, president of China Light Industry Group; Ms. Cao Pufang, executive deputy vice president of China Paper Association; Mr. Zhao Wei, secretary general of China Paper Association; Mr. Cao Zhenlei, secretary general of China Technical Association of Paper Industry; Mr. Li Jianguo, president of China Light Industry Machinery Association; Mr. Cao Chunyu, president of China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute, etc. And some leaders from local associations and famous paper enterprises and exhibitor representatives attended the exhibition opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was chaired by Ms. LU Baorong, vice president of China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute. Mr. Cao Chunyu, president of China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute, delivered a welcome speech representing all organizers. He said “Although there are still some difficulties, China’s paper industry has lots of development spaces, and is major focus of global paper market. As one of the organizers of the exhibition, China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute has involved in hosting more than 20 international paper exhibitions, accumulates rich experience in organizing exhibition over the years, and has providing superior services for exhibitors. We believe that 2013 CIPTE will help exhibitors and audience to achieve their expected target”.

The technologies and products showed in the exhibition including: pulping and papermaking mechanical equipment, components, accessories, automation equipment and instruments; waste paper and waste paper-using technologies and equipment; papermaking chemicals; new technologies and equipment for environmental protection, energy saving, emission reduction and comprehensive application; raw materials and equipment for specialty paper, etc.

    During 2013 CIPTE, “2013 China Paper Technical Conference” was held by China Technical Association of Paper Industry and China National Pulp & Paper Research Institute at Beijing Kempinski Hotel Grand Ballroom on September 24, 2013. In the conference, Mr. Zhang Liqun, Research fellow of the Development Research Center of the State Council, presented “China's Macro Economic Situation and Policy Analysis”, Mr. Zhao Wei, secretary general of China Paper Association made speech of“Thought of the Problems Facing by China's Paper Industry and Their Solutions”. They analyzed China's economic trends and the status of China's paper industry from a macroeconomic point. Other speakers from United States, South Africa, Finland, Germany, Japan, France, etc. also gave different presentations on reuse of recycled fibers, ozone bleaching, dewatering of residues in paper industry, Nano- Cellulose preparation, paper chemicals, specialty paper and other hot topics of paper industry.

    Meanwhile, during the 2013 CIPTE, several seminars were held at National Agriculture Exhibition Center (New Hall) Room. Companies of ABB, PMP, Allimand, Flootech, ICL, Linuo, etc. introduced their advanced technologies, new equipment and the international and domestic market trends, which attracted many listeners. 

    Currently China's paper industry is at a critical stage of accelerating the transformation of the development mode, structural adjustment, industrial upgrading and enhancing the level of energy saving technology, adaption to ecological construction. Under the specific background, 2013 CIPTE provided a communication and cooperation platform for enterprises at home and abroad and all the exhibitors! Meanwhile, for the success of2013 CIPTE, many exhibitors have enthusiastically booked  the booths of 2014 China International Paper Technology exhibition that will be held in Shanghai.
